January 13, 2010 by chip_kain · Leave a Comment
A solid source with inside connections tells me that Tennessee has offered the job to Will Muschamp of Texas… however, if Muschamp turns down the Vols, then former UT offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe will be named the next head coach at the University of Tennessee Wednesday night or on Thursday.
That’s a solid choice for UT [...]

Schultz: Georgia has dropped below the SEC’s bar
October 3, 2009 by chip_kain · Leave a Comment
The seat is getting warmer in Athens.
Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Jeff Schultz criticized Georgia this morning- and he had some pretty good points about the current state of the Bulldogs’ program. Mark Richt, pictured at left, isn’t on the hot seat, but it seems like there are more than a few restless Georgia fans.
Schultz didn’t hold [...]
Georgia hammered hard for celebrating potential game-winner
October 3, 2009 by chip_kain · 2 Comments
This was the most ridiculous call of the night/day in college football this weekend. The officiating crew- more specifically the guy who threw the flag against A.J. Green for excessive celebration after he scored the potential game-winner to put the Dawgs up over LSU 13-12 at the time- should be suspended. Mark Richt in the [...]

Missouri athletics cell phone goof
According to the Kansas City Star newspaper, Missouri made a big mistake when it sold off a bunch of used athletic department cell phones. They forgot to erase the phones of text messages and other information. Missouri’s athletic department sold 25 cell phones at a surplus auction and made a whopping $190 bucks off [...]
