Texas Tech coach bans Twitter after team tweets his tardiness

Texas Tech coach Mike Leach loves Pirates. What he doesn’t love is being called out on Twitter for failing to show up on time. Leach, according to the Sporting News, banned the social networking tool after one of his players, linebacker Marlon Williams, wrote and published the following tweet:

Not very smart, but very funny. The tweet was deleted. Williams wasn’t the only Tech football player tweeting. It gets better.

Brandon Carter, a big ugly on the offensive line, tweeted “This is not how I saw our season” after the team lost to Houston Saturday night. He’s been suspended from the team for a violation of team rules. His Twitter account is no more.
